I am a young soon-to-be graduate looking to start a career that will challenge me creatively, improve the skills I have started to develop and shape me as a person. Whilst working in hospitality in various roles for seven years, I have dedicated my free time to exploring the different media platforms of the music industry, focusing on music journalism, radio production/presenting, and particularly women's issues in music.

I am incredibly lucky to producer live radio shows for Soho Radio, with an incredibly talented range of radio presenters. My role is to make sure the the shows I am looking after run smoothly, and that the change over between shows is neat and subtle. I record, export and upload shows from Myriad to Mixcloud, whilst simultaneously controlling levels of the microphones, CDJs and vinyl decks, and researching information for the presenters.

I am currently in the process of starting my own online platform: a community of women in the music industry. I am creating video interviews, articles and blog posts of women from all fields of the industry, whether it is music law, sound engineering, mastering, record producing, promoting or being an artist. I am building my own website, have created a logo and have started thinking about the brand, as well as developing social media accounts. In doing so, I am gaining more experience in managing a project, arranging meetings via email, working and curating my own small team of female experts, and encouraging others to create their own content. I am loving this project as it is something really close to my heart, and if I can bring some women together in the name of music I will be overjoyed.
