A recent graduate from CASS school of Art and Architecture, otherwise known as London Metropolitan. Before university I attended evening classes for 1 year where I studied printing and life drawing to able me to have a body of work so I could then apply for the Art and Design Foundation Diploma at Eastbourne College. I moved up to London to continue my journey where I studied Furniture and Product Design. I went at a later age due to personal circumstances forcing me to leave school and work full time, Im ready to begin a full time creative career if given the opportunity as its something I know is right for me. Ive been in retail long enough (13 years - sad face)
Projects
- 70A side table/board brief to come up with something different for a company called Porada. I designed my piece with influences from 70's furniture. I also added a fun, shallow storage section on the top with a roll top open and close function. Made from solid ash, hand turned legs and Leather for the roll.
- VENUSWorking with Collaborate/Vitra. This project was given to us to create something useful and fun for an office space. I went full scale with a Large 'sleeping pod' that was moved with human interaction, once seated or laid back on my design the sides would enclose you, forming a dark and cosy environment. Sleeping pods have been introduced in Scandinavian countries as they are proven to help with creativity, mental health etc at work.
