Research and shop the market, domestically and internationally. Supervise freelance designers and approve their work. Prepare tech packs, approve colour and print layouts for strike offs and production. Daily communication with overseas vendors regarding all issues with the product development. H-D Ink for Harley-Davidson: a private label collection designed for Harley-Davidson. Responsible for the women’s collection from initial concept, artwork development and production. Samurai Surfer: a men’s tattoo inspired sportswear collection sold exclusively at Macy’s. Design and develop new prints and embellishments from original tattoo artwork. Work with print service studios on layouts, repeats and colourways. Develop on the line plan, bodies, print, wash and embroidery techniques. Follow the production calendar meeting all deadlines, approve lab dips and strike-offs.

  • Kid’s Division: Senior Designer for the girl’s collection (Ages 2-10). Research trends, colours, trims, and bodies for cut and sew knits, wovens and sweaters. Responsible for mood boards, original artwork and layouts, seasonal colour palettes, graphics, line-sheets, flat sketches, shop the market domestically, attend trade shows. Vendor communication (India and China), through daily emails and tech packs, approved TOP samples. Women’s Division: Create original artwork by hand for upscale novelty sweaters. These sweaters used various media: hand embroidery, sequins, beading, crochet and intarsia. Develop technical drawings, production tech packs, work on private label projects including Victoria’s Secrets and QVC.
