Daisy Link is a London based illustrator, with a design background and strong interest in 3D and animation. As a recent graduate from Camberwell College of Arts, her most recent work demonstrates character driven storytelling, bringing her imaginary characters to life through motion, sound and dialogue in a story or animation. She is a visually creative person who can work across different disciplines, with an enquiring mind and playful approach to design.
- Autoheads animationHere are 5 screenshots from my animation ‘Autoheads’. This animation was first showcased at the BA Illustration Degree show at Camberwell College of Arts. ‘Autoheads’ is a series of clips bringing my 5 3D printed characters ‘HEADS’ to life, using Cinema 4D. I used unexpected sounds to contrast with the seriousness of each character to add an element of surprise and make viewers laugh.
- StickheadsTHIS IS IMPORTANT. This book showcases characters and situations from the land of the Stickhead. In this world, everything you say MUST be important., which is why Stickheads spend most of their time in total silence. Stickheads was self published in August, 2018. This book is where I first was able to put my storytelling into print, it was also picked for the South London Gallery’s Children’s Book Fair. - 3D Printed HeadsHere are the scattered character births of 5 ‘HEADS’ and a ‘WORM’ throughout 2019. The 3D printing times ranged from 2 hours to 22 hours. These characters were born within the constraints of using a 3D programme (Cheetah 3D). OBJ files can be sent upon request so long as they are cared for.
