I am a versatile creative with core interests and experience in design, event production and writing. As a graphic designer my strengths lie in branding, editorial and digital Illustration, as well as having a keen eye for user experience and user interface design. Confident and comfortable managing teams, communicating with clients and presenting projects - as well as working alongside others to achieve the best outcomes for multiple high pressured deadlines.
Working with brand guidelines to generate marketing collateral across multiple mediums to quick turnaround deadlines. Including brochures, leaflets, external advertising, internal communications as well as email design, social media assets and web assets.
Led and managed overall event production for the debut of M.A.P Festival - a Rio carnival-themed, one-day-one-night festival in Harewood forest - in support of Centrepoint charity. Sold 200 tickets and hosted 30+ artists, volunteers and crew. First point of contact for musicians, artists, sound and lightening, catering and venue staff in the lead up to and running of the event. Responsible for all branding, marketing material and on-site festival graphics, as well as creating and running all social media accounts. Collated footage and designed assets to create a promotional video. Designed and delivered pitch deck to send out to any clients and potential sponsors. Worked within a low-cost budget to source and curate Rio Carnival themed decor for the venue, designed bar & food menus and line up boards. Sourced all wood for event signage - assigned, briefed and assisted painting team. Compiled a detailed document consisting of all production tasks and set build - aiding the management and delegation of roles to a team of volunteers. Orchestrated set times and oversaw sound engineer and changeovers on the night.
Wrote interviews and articles for an array of talented creatives - published on METAL's website. Researched through multiple sources to send new proposals to the contents editor. Attended press presentations, launchings and different events.
Working alongside the founding team to design the brand identity, logo, UX/UI design, marketing content and promotional material. Templating presentation guides and digital assets to visually communicate consistency within the company’s brand vision. Creating freelance design briefs for a number of internal projects for use across multiple communication channels. Responsible for deliverables within time constraints requiring quality assurance and close co-operation with the development team. Gained confidence in my capabilities leading projects and developed further understanding in market dynamics, having been established as a core member within a start-up.
Designed, developed and delivered the invitation for a large corporate clients Christmas party in the format of an E-vite/Splash page and A2 posters displayed around the London offices. Created themed, large scale graphics for the interior of the event. Worked directly with large clients to design marketing material and gift cards for Christmas. Gained invaluable experience working alongside senior designers and management team, progressing skills in design and knowledge of event production and pitching for large clients.
I shadowed a variety of different professions, including over looking and assisting with photography shoots and helping edit their weekly magazine.
