About me
Self-taught and highly ambitious, I have had an extensive career in several aspects of the fashion world and much more. My appreciation for art and all that is design began in my childhood. This fascination would then become an occupation when I started my first branding and designing agency at only 18. In its first two years the company saw tremendous growth and was pursued heavily by industry professionals. I worked diligently to ensure that my clients had the best service and were treated fairly. Due to my dedication for each client and beyond, I went on to sell this venture due to the physical toll of pursuing education and running a business. Even though that experience drained me, not even two years later I explored the world of media publication and started an online magazine focusing on both Men’s and Womenswear. Following the magazine’s triumph (Circuit Mag), I was again presented with the opportunity to sell Circuit and made the choice to do so. Upon the sale, I began yet another company shortly after my education, my third, Ragged Hem – a clothing company solely manufactured in the U.S. which sourced its fabrics from Italy, Japan, the U.S. and a sole fabric from Turkey. In terms of Ragged Hem, I was completely self-taught and had no prior knowledge or education as to what it took to start a clothing company. I ran the company as President and CEO, with a great staff, and was presented with the opportunity of a lifetime. After owning the company for nearly 4 years, I was presented an offer to sell the brand, and my designs, to an infamous luxury house. After little thought I sold the company and was overjoyed to have created a success brand with no previous training or teaching. Working in all these various realms of fashion and/or art and media allowed me to develop a great understanding of all the aspects in the industries of Media and Journalism, Consulting and Branding, the Fashion Industry and also the Art world as well as the in's and out's of Creative Agencies. These experiences, after several years taken off personally to travel the world and experiment in additional self-teaching, would lead to my career in the realm of buying for major fashion retailers and also business development. This ultimately led up to me working for both GQ and Mr. Porter, among other highly respected brands. Recently I have left GQ and am currently finishing up at Mr. Porter, to focus solely on my consulting firm, The Alexander Group, and explore additional opportunities, such as music, design (again) and art.
