Hey, I’m Daniel. With a focus on fashion & documentary photography, my work is often shaped by my own lived experience and explores ideas of identity, sexuality and culture. For me, photography is rooted in the dichotomy between naturalism and artificiality, and I love incorporating elements of both into my work. - Le Fil for GAY TIMESLe Fil for GAY TIMES shot in their hometown of Brighouse and Huddersfield, West Yorkshire ✨ - I was so lucky to have the opportunity to shoot Le Fil at the Lawrence Batley Theatre. As a young adult, Le Fil started taking part in many shows here including ‘The King and I’ as Prince Chulalonkorn. ‘The King and I’ was one of the first Western films they watched featuring key Asian representation, Le Fil pays homage to this core memory in their life by wearing an outfit specially designed to emulate
- 3pm in LisbonSo proud to announce that I am one of the winners of the Pocc x Shutterstock Artist in Residence grant! ❣️ - Soony and Anta reunited in Lisbon, the city where they first met. As natives of two different countries, these reunions are few and far between, so each second spent together is precious. I wanted to capture the significance of small intimate moments like these, as significance is not only found in large scale movements but also in simple moments of progress.
