As Head of Digital, I am responsible for planning, writing and executing the digital strategy for London Union - more widely known as the consumer-facing brand, Street Feast. Street Feast owns and operates four twinkling night markets and street food arenas across London - Dalston Yard, Dinerama in Shoreditch, Hawker House in Canada Water and Model Market in Lewisham. With an ambitious aim to grow to 16 global markets, in New York, Miami and Amsterdam, as well as London, it is a rapidly growing business with incredibly ambitious plans. Working directly into the CMO, I lead on delivering all growth campaigns against the digital strategy, adopting a number of different tactics across varying digital disciplines including web, SEO, social media, email marketing and online advertising (on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and through Google AdWords). I also work closely with the wider marketing and PR team to deliver broader campaigns, meaning I have strong skills and knowledge in direct marketing strategy, web and print design, film production and branding. In addition, I project and event manage a number of Street Feast one-off ticketed events including National Burger Day - an annual 3,000-strong festival celebrating all things burger, and Oktober Feast - a two-weekend long antidote to the corporatised, over-boozy Oktoberfest festivals of current.
