Danielle Lye is a graduate of BA Textiles at The Arts University Bournemouth, specialising in printed textiles for interiors. Danielle Lye uses both digital print and hand print across a range of applications for interior fabrics and wallpapers.
Danielle works in an illustrative style utilising digital print to be able to turn hand drawn images into textile designs. Mostly she is inspired by the natural world and chooses to base collections on inspirations including animals and botanics.
Projects
- Safari My Final Major Project is based upon the theme ‘Safari’, specifically looking at animals and plants. I am hugely inspired by the natural world in my work as there is just simply so much beauty all around us. It is a print based collection made predominantly of digitally printed fabrics, for an interior application, alongside hand screen printed fabrics and wallpapers. I’ve wanted to use fun and exciting imagery to create a bold, quirky collection.
