About me
Graphic designer with 7 years working experience in both web and print who is looking for an exciting new challenge. I have a strong ability to think creatively and an endless supply of new ideas. I have proven myself in roles with my excellent knowledge of typography, composition and the latest Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. In addition to this, I have a good understanding of photography and I am not afraid to use pencil and paper where appropriate. I am very capable to work to tight deadlines, prioritising and managing time effectively, whilst maintaining high attention to detail. Master of Arts in Graphic Design and Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and Illustration.
Projects
  • VARIOUS LOGOTYPES AND LOGOMARKS
VARIOUS LOGOTYPES AND LOGOMARKSIn my opinion most companies are looking for quality and uniqueness in their identity. That is why I do not have any preferred style and try to take every project individually with the aim to create bespoke design based on the client’s brief. I have selected some recent logotypes and logomarks to show the variety of my projects and ability to approach things differently.
  • Interactive poems for children
Interactive poems for childrenThe project was to create a number of characters and landscapes for 10 children’s poems written by soviet author Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky. He is one of the most popular children’s poets in Russia and almost all Russians, including me, know stories about the likes of Dr Ouch and the crocodile who managed to steal the sun. The client wanted to give these stories a modern and friendly look, and to make them interesting for twenty-first-century children by letting them interact with characters using a tablet while parents read to them.
  • Canberra Symphony Orchestra
Canberra Symphony OrchestraCanberra Symphony Orchestra requested the redesign of their logo to attract new sponsors and investors. They had a pretty clear idea of what type of design they wanted: classic, up-to-date and elegant, even luxurious. The client’s understanding of what they wanted was very important and they allowed me to spend time trying out different ideas. Historically, the logo had utilised the CSO letterforms. When experimenting with a small piece of metal wire, I was able to bend and shape these letters in a tactile, physical object. The outcome was a simple, yet decorative and beautiful piece that ultimately inspired the new logo. To achieve the luxurious feel I decided to go for simplicity which shines: to print business cards on uncoated stock with a golden edge. I also show an alternative logo, which communicates the idea that symphony orchestra is all about celebration of music.
