David Berkowitz Chicago is a painter from Chicago. He finished elementary school in Aurora. After that, he enrolled School of the Art Institute of Chicago. To his father's insistence he enrolls in the Technical School. David Berkowitz seriously injured his spine, in a football match and for a year he was tied to the bed. Then was when he started drawing for the first time. He started painting portraits of patients.
Berkowitz became a member of the "Village" group in 1970. But, immediately distinguished from them by his style. The most common symbols on the paintings of David Berkowitz Chicago are horses, water, pumpkin, as a symbol of wealth, farm and granary.
