During that time, I've directed large budget photoshoots, commissioned photographers and illustrators during my extended magazine design experience, both customer and news stand. I have contributed to the construction of websites, microsites and catalogues I've created custom fonts and even directed some filming and animation.
Projects
- Creative type design experimentsFont design has always been an interest of mine, as a way to foster creativity and develop lateral thinking. I set myself the task of drawing letterforms up as logos and icons, some more abstract than others. I worked across the Royal Mail account, which comprised both print and online solutions. The magazine discusses the virtues and possibilities of marketing strategies & creative solutions and how distribution can be used to improve the impact of great ideas. The goal of the magazine was to discuss this content with the decision makers in the Royal Mail client list using engaging and impactful design, illustration, videos, print solutions and online games to illustrate the points made. It was part of a bigger multi-agency strategy that Redwood led with a number of marketing contact points.
I also worked across two customer-facing magazines for catalogue companies, turning provided and commissioned imagery into bespoke editorial and consumer-friendly content.
