About me
David Wright, also known as Studio Left, is a graphic designer and artist specialising in branding and illustration. Having previously worked as the Senior Designer at an in-house marketing agency, he now works as an independent, collaborating directly with clients and design studios on a freelance/consultancy level. Dave works with clients from a wide range of industries, helping them to tell their unique brand stories with maximum impact. His focus is on making intelligent, playful work that defines his clients vision, their values and sense of purpose, enabling them to build more meaningful connections with their audiences. Often he’s commissioned to design full brand identity systems and materials for creatively led campaigns, but he also likes to work with clients on smaller, less complex or one off projects such as a brochure or website. When he isn’t working with clients, Dave spends his time working on personal projects, giving himself the freedom to experiment with different styles and new ideas. He loves to write programs that mix illustration with bold colour palettes and motion to create striking generative images and animations. He finds this way of working addictive, as the unexpected results constantly inspire and challenge him to push the boundaries of his work.
