  • Home-Body
Home-BodyMy final major project for my BA Illustration and Visual Media course was titled 'Home-body'. The artwork shown is all screen-print. It discussed the memories and stories we share in our everyday lives. It draws in the themes of family, home, identity and migration. Told through the lens my hybrid identity as a third generation child of the Jamaican diaspora but born in Britain. It seeks to reconnect through the feeling of being disconnected. • Digital Portrait Painting
Digital Portrait PaintingI used a reference picture taken by the photographer Idreezus Studio to practice drawing male subjects. I was captivated by his bold and emotive use of the colour blue as well the composition and pose of his subject within this photograph. I choose a green / leaf background to play onto this feeling of vulnerability and serenity.
