About me
I love all things art and design. I am an innovative individual with a strong passion for design and an interest in all forms of visual communication. I’m a strong team player who is comfortable working as an individual or as part of a team and enjoys direct client interaction. I try to keep abreast of current trends and garner inspiration from a large range of sources, including industry publications, art exhibitions, current fashion and online resources as well as entering creative competitions. So what else have I done? - Organised and taken part in over 30 exhibitions of contemporary art and been included in Association of Illustrators’ publications. I also enjoy the challenge that comes with pitching campaigns for existing or new clients. What can I bring to you? - I have a strong work ethic and am able to take constructive criticism, as well as having excellent time management skills and a track record of delivering projects within an agreed timescale. I am looking for new challenges in order to expand my knowledge and experience. I love Illustrating in my free time and am currently art directing and illustrating a graphic novel called “Photographing Fairies” written by John Bamber.
Projects
  • The London Dungeon guide 2016
The London Dungeon guide 2016Merlin: The London Dungeon Booklet 2015 A mixture of first person diary of events from known people from the past and a fun/educational activity book . Thirty six pages in total, the content ranges from Jack the Ripper, The Great Plague of London, Victorian cocktails, Guy Fawkes, The Great Fire of London to odd quirky facts about London. The guide was really great to work on and it has been one of my most successful projects to be involved in.
  • For sake or for sale art exhibition
For sake or for sale art exhibitionI was invited to take part in an exhibition organised by Labyrinth ( a collaboration of active students of the Arts Policy at City University, London). They organised an exhibition on the theme of ‘for sake or for sale’, and considered approaches artists adopt in order to sell work, yet still develop their personal practice.
  • Humorous Greeting cards
Humorous Greeting cardsSince I enjoy creating new images, I am constantly looking for new applications for them. To that end, as a personal project, I decided to create a line of greetings cards. I used a number of royalty free, black and white clip art images and worked them up into a cohesive range of illustrations by using colour palettes and textures. Humorous captions were then added. Pegasus Greetings decided to take my cards and are now selling them through their website. If you'd like to take a look at the range ("having a giraffe cards"), you can view them at http://pegasusgreetings.com/index.php/cards/having/
