I am a confident oral and written communicator with strong proofreading, research, organisational, time and project-management skills. My writing has been published online by gal-dem, LOVE, ELLE, Central Saint Martins, Techstyler and MW magazine. I have also acquired editorial and marketing experience at Christopher Kane, ELLE, The Times, Fashion Revolution and the British Fashion Council.
For my final project at university, I edited, art-directed and launched PLASTER Magazine – an immersive digital media platform offering an antidote to the patronising, celebrity-driven fashion journalism often aimed at teenagers. PLASTER was shortlisted for both the Graduate Fashion Foundation x FACE and LVMH Maison/0 Green Trail awards. Moreover, a quote from my investigation about racial inequality within the fashion industry in the wake of George Floyd's murder was made into a JCDecaux bus stop poster in Kings Cross, London.
Since graduating in July 2021, I have worked as a freelance newsletter editor for The Stack World, graduate teaching assistant and short courses cover tutor for fashion journalism at Central Saint Martins. The latter two opportunities – along with mentoring younger students while at university – have led me to discover my passion and ambition to pursue a career in the creative arts academic sector.
