The purpose of my role is to assist the department of History, Politics & Social Sciences in a variety of events and to work collaboratively with the department administrators in developing communications in social media and webpages in order to promote and manage events.
This is a non-profit organisation founded in 2011. All money we earn we put back into providing more workshops for the students. Our aim is to give children and teenagers an outlet to spend their time in a fun, active way and create friendships and provide experiences in a safe environment. My duties include: - Researching locations to hold events within budget and travel distances. - Organising the studio in preparation for the students and registering them upon arrival. - Booking travel, accommodation or flights for guest choreographers and special events. - Taking care of choreographers schedules. - Liaising with the choreographers or their management to negotiate events and partnerships. - Learning or creating choreography and teaching dances effectively so students of all levels are able to pick up routines. - Working along with my team and supporting each other to make the event run as smoothly as possible. - Using social media to advertise our events, invite students to our events and post videos of our classes.
