About me
Hi I'm Debbie, a graphic designer based in East London. I graduated from Shillington College last year and have since been working in my first Junior Design role as well as taking on freelance projects.
Projects
  • Freedom & Fragmentation Publicity
Freedom & Fragmentation PublicityA freelance project to design a large scale banner and posters for an exhibition entitled Freedom & Fragmentaion, a display of photographs from the Centre of South Asian Studies archive.
  • Public Affairs Lecture Publicity
Public Affairs Lecture PublicityA freelance project for the Centre of South Asian Studies, a department of Cambridge University. My role was to produce a poster and invitations to a lecture given by Harsh Mander entitled Looking Away: Inequality, Prejudice and Indifference in New India.
  • Small Business Branding
Small Business BrandingA freelance project to design a logo for a new carpentry and maintenance business. The brief was to create a striking design whilst maintaining a professional and refined feel.
  • Repelling Pencil Branding
Repelling Pencil BrandingThe Repelling Pencil is the new essential travel accessory. The pencil actively works as a stylus, while simultaneously deterring mosquitoes and other insects from going in for the bite on those summer evenings. The item is marketed towards tech savvy nannas who like to travel. I have used a simple graphic image, text and pattern to emphasise it's sleek, no nonsense design. The microsite contains trivia and there is an element of humour in order to relate to the demographic.
  • Hackney Community Report
Hackney Community ReportThis brief required a seven page document of information to be presented in a visually interesting and engaging way using.
  • Story Swap Campaign
Story Swap CampaignStory Swap is a campaign to encourage younger people to engage with the older community. The scheme is targeted at secondary school children. I designed the posters in a comic book style and turned the older characters into superheroes to make them more relatable to the demographic. Student brief, Shillington College

Being my rst design role, In ux helped to form a solid grounding as a professional designer. Working closely with the founder and managing director of the company, I was able to learn a huge amount about design in the real world.
