I'm Diana, a brand design & photography creative; with a love for innovation, elegance & the peculiar.
I have a background in Brand Design, Fashion and Photography and experience in art direction, photography, branding and social media. I created content mostly for fashion, beauty, music and lifestyle industries. Elegant, high-end branding and quirky, innovative one are the two design directions dear to my heart.
Currently working as a brand designer for a skincare start-up company (Derma Organics), I design the packaging, liaise with the printing companies and create assets for social media, website banners and any branding collateral. Moreover, I organise, photograph & art direct photo-shoots from the concept stage up until the final imagery for social media & branding.
Previously I was an art director at Jelingu Creates (London based agency) where I kick started my career and art directed projects for the creative industries.
Projects
- Artwork /CHAOSContrasts and how they interact and influence each other fascinate me. I love the idea of contained mess. All my art tries to take artisanal, unfinished, imperfect elements to a point in which they become perfect to me. I try to convey the positive aspects of pandemonium, how everything harmonious and ordered comes actually, from disorder. Chaos and harmony are interconnected. They are found everywhere in nature, as archetypal references, mother symbols of imperfect/ideal, good/bad and so on. Closely related, they are a paradoxical pair, which coexist only within each other, especially harmony is strictly dependable of turbulence, as it is born out of a desire to tame the unknown. "In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order." - Carl Jung Translating the idea of Chaos that leads to Harmony into painting/installation, I decided to study faces of people who reach sexual climax and of people who express their rage through screaming. I took self-portraits, and photos of friends, in an attempt of capturing the turmoil. A screaming self-portrait was chosen as the starting point of my painting. - Derma OrganicsDerma Organics was a concept Ada, a young American entrepreneur, had to create her own natural cosmetics based on her grandmother’s recipes of using natural ingredients and making the products by hand. Jelingu helped Ada develop her brand as a whole by giving it direction and designing the packaging for her products.
