After I completed a Design and Business degree, focused on Fashion Design, I gradually turned to photography. I was always an active person, always on the go or learning new things. Somehow, photography stuck with me. It transcended the realms of a hobby, becoming a regular activity and bringing me the fulfillment that fashion never did. I love photography as a lifestyle and as a way of always discovering new things. I mostly photograph people that are always aware of the camera. I do not mean to capture the moment in most cases, but to create it. I think that when people are aware of the camera, the way they pose says more about them than if they did not notice the camera. One can see who they would like to be, how would they like to be perceived by people, by the way they pose. Their ego is the first layer portrayed in they facial expression, but through their eyes you can see deeper than that. In addition, the portrait says a lot about the relationship between the photographer and its subject. A great portrait photographer needs to be able to come as close as he/she would like to, without being intrusive. That requires emotional intelligence. Throughout this period, I had freelance projects for fashion, hospitality and consumer brands for which I created content for Instagram and web/other social platforms as an extension of branding and marketing. “Chaos: the creative prototype of harmony” was a group exhibition on the theme of Chaos.
