- Natural History Museum Hypothetical RebrandFor my final major project at the University of Hertfordshire, I created a theoretical ‘summer takeover’ rebrand for the Natural History Museum based in London. I enjoyed using an illustrative design approach to highlight and celebrate endangered underwater species and pay homage to the importance and purpose of the blue whale to the museum.

BA (Hons) Illustration - First Class HonoursThe University of Hertfordshire

Grade: First Class Honours
During my three years of studying, I was encouraged to create innovative design and illustration and focus on business development. For my final major project I created a speculative ‘summer takeover’ rebrand for the Natural History Museum, which highlights and celebrates endangered underwater species and pays homage to the importance of the blue whale to the museum.
Other examples of work I created:
- Fully illustrated storybooks
- Editorial illustrations for a poetry book called 'Love Poems'
- A map of my home town
- A cocktail recipe book
- Emoji's, GIF's and animations
- Book cover design (including entries into the Penguin Random House Student Design Award).
I also undertook collaborative projects with other illustrators on my course, creative writing students and graphic designers to produce a variety of projects including Adobe campaigns and magazine content.

My year at Buckinghamshire New was exciting and varied. We were encouraged to be innovative and creative, and to have a strong concept behind any developed idea.
During my time here I experimented with product, graphic, interior and typographic design, and specialised in fine art and conceptual thinking. For my final major project I researched and explored the idea of beauty and how it is portrayed in the media. In my response I created a life size interactive dressing table with accessories in latex, fully standing with supporting photography for our public exhibition. The idea was to showcase the other side of beauty with items that looked unkempt and horror-esque.
