Diyala is an Animation Artist based in London. She makes animated films and loops surrounding the human cycles of loneliness and sexual desire. Her abstract narratives reflect the chaotic inner world of her protagonists in a darkly comic and naive style. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2016 Diyala has been working both collaboratively and solo for clients such as Channel 4, DAZED, Vodafone, and the School of Life.
With a bold, graphic style, Diyala's work stands out and has been described as "raw, punk and gutsy" by the jury at the British Animation Awards 2018, where she won Best Student film for her film 'The Day After the Party.'

- VVAACCAATTIIOONN - 'Rodeo' visualsVisuals for the track 'Rodeo' by VVAACCAATTIIOONN I animated this digitally at first, printed out the frames, coloured them in, scanned them, and then fully painted them, and scanned them again.
