Dom Stevenson is a sound artist and composer based in Hackney, London. With a degree in Sound Art and Design from London University of the Arts and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, his work is innovative and unique, drawing on a wide range of musical experiences spanning two decades. His practice uses electronic and acoustic instrumentation, modular synthesis and field recordings to explore new and exciting worlds in sonic design.
Recently, Stevenson has performed throughout UK with artists including Knut Auffermann, Sarah Washington, Nicolas Collins and Hans Koch, while also joining David Toop in the improvisational outfit “Unknown Devices”. He performs solo under the name ‘Yaws’, with 12” vinyl releases out on London’s Alien Jams, Purely Physical and Lyon’s KUMP records.
