  • Coffee Table
Coffee TableThis project was my final highschool assignment, to prove my wood carving skills. Fascinated by Irish music and culture I wanted to transform paintings from Book of Kells into relief wood sculpture. Finally I also made the decision to make the simple square of the coffee table, highlighting the decorative art. In this project, my project was to create furniture that would combine modern minimalist form with old idea of decorative art, inspired by beautiful and mysterious Celtic art and Viking wo
  • Behave House
Behave HouseIf you draw a shape on a continuous field of sand, the line would be a condensation of all our personal insights and the shape would be an extradimensional value, which we gain by coming together. Public, semi-private and private zones in the house have clear boundaries, obstacles to make a transition from one to another. The most public and social part of the building is exactly in the centre, it is a core, which brings all the apartments together, uniting them. The further away you go from there, the more private it becomes. The shell of the building contains most of privacy. We have equally divided spaces between the tenants, which doesn't mean they are uniform. Everybody has his personal values and he is free to fulfill them as long as he gives up all the extras to the public. "Society is like a stew. If you don't stir it up every once in a while then a layer of scum floats to the top" - using this logic of Edward Abbey we mix and puzzle our apartments, integrating them together for the sake of equality. This modular system we use for the space division creates flexibility. By sheltering and opening towards natural light in a certain way we control and optimize the natural biorhythm with the one of our own.
