DOMINIQUE [1980] started his career in the 90’s as a graphic designer with a strong affection in street art culture. His early signature work got him into working for A list clients such as Adidas, Footlocker, Nike EU/NYC, Patagonia, Fuji Film, ONE Championship to name a few. These experiences fed his drive in development towards personal growth of insights, which show in his own artistic projects. He expands and combines scripts with a symbolic touch, planting the seed of one single idea and fine tuning it to grow and evolve. Bringing to light the sentimental value and foundations of his Moluccan roots, spread out for all to bare a great sense of pride in. DOMINIQUE uses his symbols to compose visuals in multi-media such as paintings, murals and fashion items. Touching the hearts and minds of those with a characteristic, unique and humble stamp of supremacy.
As an artist with Alifuru roots (the Indigenous people of the Moluccan Islands), it's important to keep our culture alive and to share it with the world. We are strongly connected with nature as with the spiritual world where symbols are an important element. These signs tell the stories of our bond with nature and our spirit guides. They function like a compass. Heavily inspired by native art, his symbols are a creation of the Indigenous language from Moluccan roots.

- Music Festival: Het Amsterdams Verbond 2019The promotors of Music Festival Het Amsterdams Verbond ask me if I can create a mural painting with elements of Freedom, Amsterdam and Unity. Ive teamed up Cookie Deaux Artist Nicky Nahafahik to create a concept where we represent those elements. Black, Red and White represents the colours of Amsterdam while the white dove and the hand stands for freedom, open minded mind state and unity.
