Hello. I am Dongsun Loff Lee from South Korea.
I studied Jewellery and Silversmithing in University of Edinburgh from Sep 2011 to Nov 2015.
I am interested in Hybrid fabrication(combining 3D printing and handy crafting) for Jewellery and silversmithing, and even fashion as well.
Projects
- The Bigbang TheoryThe inspiration behind my work is the Big Bang theory - a prevailing cosmological model for a universe that holds it is still expanding 1.6 billion years after creation. My work explores various ways to visually express this abstract and philosophical concept of the Big Bang theory, from silver-smithing techniques to the making of a conceptual film about my working process. I am particularly interested in the hybrid fabrication of my collection, combining and contrasting traditional hand-made techniques (metal-raising, chasing and repousse, etc.) with computational technologies (3D modelling, 3D printing, 3D scanning, etc.).
