I write articles on current issues, relevant to students. I also attend regular meetings and liaise with the other members of the magazine team.
I was elected by the Student Union in this position, to be a medium between the students and the college, as well as between the college and the outside environment. I organised a student event together with the Association of Colleges in the Eastern Region and led a small team, amongst other college events. I helped to create promotional material by carrying out market research amongst the students and advising of content for social media.
In this position, I assisted during recruitment and enrolment events. This entailed approaching new students and their parents in a welcoming manner to advise them of the college. I also confidently led guided tours around the college campuses. I also had the ability to participate in student panel interviews for the recruitment of new members of staff.
I helped the hairdressers by organising and maintaining the smooth running of the salon. I was responsible for looking after the clients- by anticipating their needs in order to make them feel comfortable and provide outstanding customer service.
During my time at South Essex College, I achieved A-levels in Business Studies (Grade B), Media Studies (Grade C) and Film Studies (Grade C).
