Apart from being the owner of ND, Dorothea is also an award-winning stylist and the author behind two books: 'New Nordic Design' and 'Fashion Scandinavia' published worldwide by Thames & Hudson. Dorothea travels between London, Paris, Spain and Copenhagen, as a freelancer on commissions for magazines such as Vogue.it, Dazed Digital, V Magazine & V man, Style.com, ELLE.

Dorothea has been featured in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, BBC Live, MTV, Danish National TV, ELLE, ELLE Decor, Monocle Radio, Rolling Stone Magazine, Architectural Digest, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, among others. She was also awarded the ELLE Denmark 'Stylist of the Year' Award in May 2013, and has been nominated in 2014 and 2015, alongside a 'New Generation' Award nomination by Vogue UK.
Dorothea occasionally appears on Danish National Television as a 'Design Expert' in the 'Good Morning Denmark' live show showcasing new trends.
