I am a producer of award-winning events, well-practiced/highly-skilled/accomplished in delivering experiential, live music and arts activations. I am a highly organised individual, used to juggling multiple balls and someone who likes to make things happen. I’m happy to get on with the task at hand autonomously or as part of a team, attention to detail is my thing and I have no qualms about getting stuck in. My career has spanned the globe and my travel and experiences have allowed me to become a well-rounded individual with great communication skills, someone who loves building relationships and has a healthy curiosity for a plethora of delights including (but not limited to) design, food, travel, music, taxidermy and art.
Please note this is ongoing ... I am currently freelancing in this same role. Within my remit at Steely Fox I produced a new festival (now coming into its third year). Curious Arts Festival is a special literary, arts and music festival held in the grounds of Pylewell Estate, a manor house in the New Forest, for 3,000 people. My role includes planning and implementing all operational aspects of the event and managing the production budget. Liaising with all onsite concessions and ensuring all relevant H&S documentation in place. Management of onsite visibility for sponsors. Submission and liaison with local council on all aspects of the licensing process including site visits prior to and during the event. Informed decision-making for all approved onsite suppliers and contractors. Liaison for technical requirements, staging, logistics for full programme of events. Directional management of Security and Traffic. Full responsibility for festival layout, design and dressing. Input into marketing, promotions and art design. Management of all experiential activations on site.
Delivered successful experiential marketing campaigns via creative communications to consumer and the on-trade for high-profile alcohol brands such as Hendrick’s Gin, The Balvenie, Glenfiddich, Sailor Jerry and Tullamore DEW. Produced events both locally, throughout the UK, and globally in Barcelona, Dublin, Tullamore, Milan, Antwerp, and yearly in Cannes. Specifically managed, implemented and executed all aspects of events for Hendrick's Gin (UK and Global) which in turn saw UK sales boost by 26% in 2014 alone. Steely Fox event highlights include winning an unparalleled five awards for ‘Hendrick’s Carnival of Knowledge’, producing ‘The Paul Simonon Flash Collection’ for Sailor Jerry, and most recently launching ‘The DCS Balvenie compendium’. Steely Fox allowed me to become well-versed in producing curious and surprising events and experiential, and a dab hand at sourcing and securing some amazing unexpected venues. London’s award-winning Christmas Festival attracting over 2.5 million people to Hyde Park. My responsibilities as Deputy Site Manager included: • Daily communication and directional management of the onsite crew • Daily liaison with all attraction, retail and catering managers and external contractors, security and traffic teams • In charge of all HACCP, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Fire and Safety certificates • Dealing with customer enquiries and complaints • Support for all onsite managers with any staffing issues • Management of radios & site keys to all staff & contractors alongside issuing staff / contractor / guest passes • Deliveries and vehicle access to site • Procurement of all site plant equipment and thus onsite vehicle management – issuing, repairs, etc. • Management of all invoices and recharges • Stepping up to the role of Site Manager in their absence
