Eddie Ade Akin is a London-based curator, writer, visual storyteller and producer who works with artists and institutions to deliver a range of projects, programmes and art exhibitions. He approaches creative storytelling with a multidisciplinary and pluralistic perspective. The British-born Nigerian is an adept curator, writer, filmmaker and public speaker. Eddie Ade interweaves narratives from his personal life with surrealistic abstraction and ideals of the developed canon of Post-colonial discourse. His character is calm. He values research-driven ideation processes and collaborative knowledge sharing. He found the professional industry of the Arts in school and volunteered in local institutions at the age of Sixteen. Eddie Ade graduated with a BA in Culture, Criticism, and Curation at Central Saint Martins. During his BA, his critical research followed Art History, Ethnographical studies, Ethnomusicological studies, Conceptual Art, and the structure of cultural institutions and policy. He recently graduated with an MA in Information Experience Design from the Royal College of Art. His practitioner research interests are to generate experiences that explore the intersection of art, science, and the environment via the interrelationships between people, materials, and environments. Eddie Ade has previously developed projects with IRCAM Centre, Centre Pompidou, Piccadilly Lights, Landsec, A Space For Art, Koko Foundation, Soho Radio, and Reference Point. He is a Co-founder and curator of the curatorial collective AKH | Art Kinship Highlighted.
