  • China's Air Pollution
China's Air PollutionThe Brief: Use information design and diagrammatical display to inform, explain and clarify a selected area of research focusing on population. China’s rapid industrialisation is causing major impacts on the population’s health and the natural environment. This is continuing to be a growing problem with people becoming wealthier, consuming more and buying cars. Despite the small efforts made in China, this issue has not been resolved and sets a negative hindrance to the country. Reports of Chin

  • D&AD New Blood Entry — Capsule Collection
D&AD New Blood Entry — Capsule CollectionAward: Yellow Pencil British Council - Create an exhibition identity to go / 2014 Our response to the brief aims to provide not only a branding design but also a reimagining of the exhibition itself for the next 4 years as it travels to Russia, Thailand, Brazil and Mexico. Consideration for bi-lingual application and transportability has been key in the concept’s development.
  • ISTD: A Manifesto for the Art School
ISTD: A Manifesto for the Art SchoolThe Brief: Write a Manifesto for the Art School, communicating your vision of the future. Arts education has had a big impact on society, and has brought creative minds to shape the world of today. Responding to an ISTD 2014 brief, I produced, and designed a manifesto that envisions the Art School of the 21st century. The Art School Manifesto, ‘We Are Artists’, comprises of 34 declarations that reflect the importance of creativity within our society. Every creative innovation that we see today has at some point been informed by the work of artists. These statements serve to affirm the continuing relevance of the art school. The selection of images show an example of the contents in a randomised pack, and methods of how this would reach students in higher education fairs or online.
  • Home Truths
Home TruthsSelf Initiated: Exhibition and campaign focusing on the statistics of empty homes and homelessness in London. London is increasing in its population, as its desirability. These two factors compounded have created a sharp rise in the demand for housing, contributing to the housing shortage. As this problem worsens, with more homes becoming increasingly unaffordable, many properties are remaining vacant. Parallel to this, rising homelessness furthers the imbalance in the capital. The Home Truths exhibition aims to reveal the statistics to the public, and expose the current situation of both on-going problems. The proposed design is located in Trafalgar Square, and was selected to propagate about the issues in the heart of London. The exhibition design includes, creation of the structural walls and information graphics, 3D printed sculptural data maps, and a fold out map, which showcases figures of empty homes and homelessness.
  • Xin Restaurant
Xin RestaurantCollaboration project with the emerging architect Yunhong Xue. Self Initiated: Digital Dim Sum Dining Pushing the forms of contemporary dining, Xin is the future digital restaurant that encourages interaction between guests through an interactive table. The restaurant serves Chinese Dim Sum, which is traditionally shared amongst the diners with a selection of dishes and is accompanied with drinking tea. The digital interface is designed with pictograms for the main menu, and functions of the operating system. The visual language continues for other elements in the digital restaurant, including the interactive way-finding and cooking order system for chefs and waiters.

In collaboration with Hugo Raymond, we created an exhibition identity to take film fashion travelling, hosted by the British Council. As part of the 2014 D&AD New Blood Award briefs, 'Dressing The Screen' was a challenging brief that demanded many different elements to be designed and produced, considering digital and printed materials for the exhibition. Our design response, titled 'Capsule Collection' received a nomination, an In-book annual feature, and successfully won us a prestigious student yellow pencil award. http://www.dandad.org/awards/new-blood/2014/british-council-create-an-exhibition-identity-to-go/2385/capsule-collection/
