I am a graphic designer, copywriter and brand strategist based in London. I have over five years’ experience of building brands through marketing, publicity, social media and events in sectors including hospitality, luxury fashion and the creative industries. While I am an agile and flexible thinker, I am also a methodical worker with a keen eye for detail. I value the beauty of simplicity and believe in the importance of clarity. I respect research and I admire craft and quality. I am particularly passionate about brand identity and typography as well as food and drink. I love using pattern and colour to tell stories with my work.Locked Pro Plan feature
As a freelance graphic designer I’ve created brand identities for clients including a gastropub, an artisan bakery, an Australian fruit exporter and two Kent stables. The scope of these projects has ranged from logo design to packaging, POS and wayfinding. As a copywriter I’ve produced content for websites, email marketing campaigns, press releases and events programmes. I also help businesses with brand consultancy, including market research, strategy and partnerships.
I coordinated publicity campaigns for the creative industries, working with clients including the BBC and Channel 4. I managed projects from pitch to completion, devising multi-platform media strategies, preparing press materials, pitching to press, securing targeted coverage across print and broadcast outlets and compiling evaluations. I also planned events, such as press screenings, conferences and workshops. In this role I developed the ability to communicate on behalf of both corporate and consumer brands, adapting language and messaging to fit different clients and target audiences. I also worked closely with photographers and designers to create an effective visual identity for every campaign.
I managed the branding, marketing and publicity for The Milk House in Sissinghurst and The Barrow House in Egerton. This involved establishing a brand language and implementing it across everything from menus and business cards to banners and flyers. I was responsible for the online presence of both pubs, creating engaging social media content, email marketing campaigns and banner ads, as well as print advertising campaigns. I was also involved in interior design and commissioned a range of exterior and interior signage. In addition to this, I played a key role in event planning, partnerships and menu development.
I managed marketing, publicity and house communication for this London-based fashion house, including all areas of social media. My responsibilities included handling the company’s ecommerce, visual merchandising and email marketing. I helped to promote collaborations with Dr. Martens, Café Royal and Shoreditch House and supported the creative team at both London Fashion Week Men’s and Paris showrooms. Working in luxury fashion sharpened my eye for detail and developed my ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously.
