About me
I am an award winning student who is currently in the final year of my BA (hons) Event Management Degree, at Manchester Metropolitan University. Alongside my university studies - I am working in a mid-level management role as a Venue Operations Manger at the Manchester Academy Music Venues, and also an Event and Social Media for RAH! (Research in Arts and Humanities at Man Met). I have a varied CV covering: community engagement, sales and presentation; events management in sports and also operational experience across music venues and events across the UK.

  • Try-Uni Cup 2019
    Try-Uni Cup 2019As part of my Level 5 unit, Event Projects, I created and managed a live event on behalf of a community client. Working in a team with 3 other students, we created a brand new concept for Sale Sharks Rugby club to entice local university students to experience Rugby. I came up with the concept of the Try-Uni Cup, a varsity style competition between local university students attending our event.     Working in a student staff role, I am helping manage the venue operations and staff within the 5 venues under the Manchester Academy roof. My job requires me to look after financial elements such as advances, riders and settlements; as well as hiring, monitoring and assisting bar and security managers as well as the overall experience and wellbeing of the attendees.

    Assisting with the Events run by the Research in Arts and Humanities from across Manchester metropolitan University. This includes setting up, carrying out the events, and packing down - on behalf of our partner event hosts and our internal hosts.
