I am an enthusiastic Interior Designer and moved to the London Area after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree
(with Honours) in Interior Design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium.
When it comes to designing space, my main focus is to enrich the users’ senses by the aesthetics of innovative design solutions, based on a thorough analysis of contextual features such as the setting, history and character of a building and the clients' needs and desires.
Projects
- Country EscapeDesign proposal for the refurbishment of the rooms and corridors of a prestigious English countryside hotel. Offering a plethora of nature and outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking and clay-pigeon shooting, to name only a few. This hotel is the ultimate countryside getaway. The use of rustic woods, leather and classic patterns and prints (e.g. plaids, paisleys) are combined with modern elements and touches of colour to give a contemporary approach to the respected classic heritage.
- French Alps - ChaletA contemporary take on a cozy chalet, created for this refurnishing project in the renowned Megève region of the Alps. The presence of light wood creates the perfect base to play with layers of warmer tones and playful patterns and textures that result in an alternative, warm and personal retreat after having spent the day in the cooler outdoors. The use of bronze lighting fixtures create a contrast with the lighter background. This enhances the black details and compliments the rougher edge of
- Grosvenor SquareRefurbishment project for a living-dining room of a Mayfair apartment. High ceilings and large windows appeal for a grand interior. Inspired by Ralph Lauren's Classic 'Brook Street', 'Apartment No.One' and 'One Fifth' collections, the rooms are filled with black lacquer, dark mahogany and rosewood. Polished Nickel, brass and arm oriental patterns and colour palettes.
