Eliza Bourner's photography is highly driven by her fascination with social behaviour in contemporary culture such as celebrity, religion and emotional disconnect. Projects
- The Act of LivingThis ongoing photo series entitled ‘The Act of Living’ explores modern loneliness and emotional disconnection. I aim to explore our relentless search for happiness in the 21st century, challenging the disillusionment of continual self-improvement and overachievement generated by a consumerist society. Carrying a loose narrative, the images leave room for subjective interpretation on the complex relationships we have with ourselves and the human condition.
