Work history
    Account Manager (PR & Comms
I currently work as an account manager at integrated PR & Communications MC2, in Manchester. Having started as a graduate in summer 2013, I have advanced quickly and built a reputation for being a reliable, creative, friendly and knowledgeable member of the team. I am skilled at producing unique messaging for different businesses and delivering excellent results within tight deadlines. Key roles and responsibilities: Sourcing client profiling opportunities: This includes drafting and selling in media alerts for print or broadcast; writing and editing content for publication; producing and implementing distinctive social media and marketing strategies to suit a diverse portfolio of clients. Management: The key responsibility is being the daily point of contact for each client; managing and training an executive from graduate to senior executive level; producing short and long-term strategies for each account and for new business prospects; building relationships with press contacts and other influencers to secure profiling opportunities for clients. Copywriting: This has included creating press releases, extended viewpoint features, interviews, video scripts, marketing collateral (brochures, leaflets, advertisements), internal company collateral (announcements, staff initiatives), standalone reports for internal and external use, surveys, fundraising appeals and website copy; this copy work is produced both for the client accounts I oversee and on an ad hoc basis for the the B2C department of the agency. Organisation: This includes but is not limited to: planning and logistics for events, organising launches and conference presentations; scheduling meetings; liaising with journalists and third parties. Administration: This includes collating media coverage and compiling weekly and monthly activity reports; tracking KPIs; monitoring client influence online and in print; proof-reading and editing. Creative support: Involves producing creative briefs for video and design work, helping produce creative campaigns and writing/editing copy for internal and external collateral.

Finance Against Trafficking (a branch of human rights charity Stop the Traffik) appeals directly to businesses, helping them adapt their respective approaches to identifying and preventing trafficking practices such as bonded labour and modern slavery within their supply chain. I created blog content for Finance' Against' Trafficking's website, drafting content that was balanced, sensitive and insightful, and completing and editing each piece in line with the charity’s objectives. As a charity that relies on voluntary work, Stop the Traffik offered me an internship that I was able to complete whilst working for MC2, as I produced blog content for them throughout the year.
