Production and Distribution Manager February 2013 – Current Following a promotion to Production and Distribution Manager in February 2013, I am now the sole member of the production department. In this capacity, I am responsible for: • Implementing production schedules and aligning deadlines with design, editorial, digital, sales and finance departments • Creating and updating flatplans, chase-sheets, payment logs, and stock lists • Coordinating advertisement submissions for both print publications and online use • The management of the in-house and client approval processes for advertisements • Managing budgets for print and distribution costs • Locating and negotiating with international print and distribution suppliers • Overseeing the printing processes of the publications at all stages • The creation and updating of physical and digital distribution lists • The management of subscriptions lists from the Newsdesk Media and other affiliated websites • Establishing distribution partnerships with relevant organisations to maximise publication reach • Overseeing the delivery of publications to international locations. • Producing end-of-project reports • Liaising with clients post-project completion Responsible for the successful delivery of official publications to international events for prestigious clients: • Astana Economic Forum, Astana, Kazakhstan • African Union Summit, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia • World Islamic Economic Forum, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia • G7 Summits - UK 2013, Brussels 2014 and Germany 2015 • G20 Summits - Russia 2013, Australia 2014 and Turkey 2015 Production Assistant April 2012 – February 2013 Working alongside the Production Manager, I was responsible for: • Creating and updating flatplans and chase-sheets • Assisting in the implementation of production schedules • Managing stock levels both in the office and at off-site storage locations • Coordinating advertisement submissions and their approval processes • The creation of distribution lists and further distribution plan • Print and distribution management of smaller, bespoke projects • Writing of synopses for proposed publications
