I am a marketing and public relations professional with experience working in the creative/arts sector in Australia, the United Kingdom and sub-Saharan Africa. I am passionate about audiences and engaaging more young people in the arts through digital.

  • Live SA
    Live SALivity Africa is the first international expansion of the award-winning youth agency Livity UK. I joined the agency in its infancy and played a critical role in transitioning it into a digital-first agency. I implemented a digital strategy which grew their main online community, Live SA, to over 1 million young South Africans. This network of engaged young people helped us attract clients like the British Council, Google, Red Bull, Barclays, Canon, Converse and Omidyar Network to help them reach
  • Lake of Stars Festival
    Lake of Stars FestivalSince 2010 I have managed the international media for the Lake of Stars project, an annual international music festival in Malawi. From managing international and local media onsite during the festival to developing pre and post media and marketing strategies, I have been instrumental in growing the festival’s global brand. I have also managed and trained the festival media team of staff and volunteers and been part of the festival’s leadership team. In 2014 international media coverage reached more than 500 million people including CNN, BBC World, the Guardian, Metro, Wall Street Journal, BuzzFeed, Time Out, Mail and Guardian South Africa, Africa Geographic, Suedduetsche Zeitung, MTV Base, the Scotsman and DSTV.
