Elize has been working in tech for 12+ years, of which a decade in product management, and most recently led the product team at Spideo. As a product leader, Elize looks to inspire young product people and helps companies set a clear product vision and leads their digital innovation initiatives. Her longterm goal is to promote radical transparency in technology to improve people’s lives.
At Spideo she has directed the development and launch of rumo.co - the first SaaS recommender system for creative industries. Before joining Spideo on the B2B side, Elize led the product development of "Flow" on Deezer, reaching >14 million subscribers globally, and implemented new engagement features on Viacom’s websites in Berlin (B2C).
Elize finds new business opportunities through creative thinking, prototyping, and testing, as well as building relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams alike. She is specialized in customer engagement, user onboarding, personalization, and recommendation technologies. Her skills in decision-making, product strategy, team management, and software development, make her a strong team leader.
Furthermore, Elize enjoys writing about product management, has become a lecturer at HEC-42’s Startup Launchpad, regularly contributes to events as a speaker or attendant, and is a strong advocate for Women in Tech. A natural speaker, she likes to empower other women to share the stage with her. She is one of The Inspiring Fifty Netherlands 2019, an initiative that aims to increase diversity in technology by making female role models more visible.

Objective: lead the Product Strategy and Growth with a clear product vision for Spideo, direct the launch of a SaaS platform, and recruit and manage the product team.
Achievements:
• Directed the launch of Rumo: the first SaaS platform for all creative industries. Product strategy formed the blueprint of business strategy and contributed to winning the "Concours d'innovation" by BPI France, enabling an R&D grant in 2019.
• Developed a privacy-first prototype and developed a demo with the interactive User Semantic Fingerprint™, which builds on the mood-based discovery and allows for end-user control. Voted for as one of the "Most Engaging Consumer Experiences" at IBC 2019.
• Developed a product vision of how to manage taxonomies and semantics for content and knowledge-based recommendations and directed benchmark study.
• Led R&D initiatives with dialog-driven voice discovery for NLU platforms like Nuance, Google Home, Amazon Alexa.
• Further built partnerships to build on content and customer insights with Gracenote, Alpha Networks, Nice People at Work, among others.
