Please, don't #wtf me for admitting I enjoy slaying internet trolls. I do it with humour and kindness, making any rebuttal impossible. How delightful to counter a nasty comment - usually rife with bad grammar and spelling, you know the ones - with just the right dose of wit! That's what you can expect from me: digital smarts combined with skills that I keep honing and a healthy dose of curiosity. I'm a graduate of the Squared Online Digital Marketing course developed in collaboration Google which was an intense but wonderful experience. My day-to-day work resembles that of a digital marketing strategist, graphic designer, project manager, budget champion, animator, copywriter, event planner and social media expert, all rolled into one. Achievements so far: • At least one title in every NetGalley Book of the Month round-up through pitching • Homegoing became a Sunday Times Top 10 Bestseller. The campaign: a combination of Facebook advertising, podcast ads (in collaboration with ACast), an animation, influencer mail-out to bookstagrammers and booktubers • A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled became a No 1 Sunday Times Bestseller through a well-rounded campaign that supplemented outdoor and radio advertising with Facebook and YouTube advertising, as well as a self-built microsite • The debut thriller My Sister’s Bones sold 7,000 copies in two months • The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down soaring to No.1 on Amazon • Being invited to work on the campaign for The Ministry of Utmost Happiness by Arundhati Roy, which went on to became a No 1 Sunday Times Bestseller in its first week
Present and sell Varonis' products and services to current and potential clients. Build a territory plan and execute against the plan. Follow up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity. Identify decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to start sales process. Maintain and expand the database of contacts within targeted organizations. Sustain sales activities; appointments, demos, proposals, cold calls, dials and database updates. Partner with Account Managers and Sales Management to determine strategic approaches for sales. Establish and maintain current customer relationships (respond to customer requests, manage and resolve customer issues). Maintain accurate account information and activity detail in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). Provide effective product demos for end-user customers as well as for the resellers. Support the reseller communication channel throughout the sales process. Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.
Lean Forward is a multi-channel start-up that aims to provide the easiest and most entertaining gaming experience to people in the UK via TV, online and mobile. Creator of all social media content, strategy and tone of voice for the brand. Working from scratch was an exciting challenge as I was responsible for all output, from conception to publication. • I contributed ideas for new games, built email campaigns – HTML design – and pitched in with content that could be used on TV. In my opinion a business needs that flexibility to create a seamless customer experience. • Working closely with the Production team to make sure all social media activity complemented the TV output. I had great relationships with stakeholders from different departments including IT, compliance and customer services. • Per week I crafted 7 Facebook posts and over 100 tweets with any branded images created in Photoshop by myself. For YouTube and Vine I edited and uploaded all videos. • Ideas: recreate the Eurovision Song Contest live and post pictures on Twitter, series of images with tennis puns for Wimbledon, host a #TownOff every night where we encouraged viewers to send in reasons their town is the greatest place to live • I provided a system and training for our contact centre so they could respond to customer queries on social media promptly and with confidence. We chose to use HootSuite as a tool for both monitoring and engaging on social media. • Paid social media activity was handled by a digital marketing agency managed directly by me.
NetPlay TV is an online gaming company and the only one in the UK to offer live roulette games as a presenter-led television show, on air every day of the year. Responsible for all social media and content for our three brands. I collaborated with our email marketing team to create integrated campaigns across all channels and liaised with graphic designers, web developers and the production team for execution. • Creating over 20 Facebook posts and at least 80 Tweets per week. I was also responsible for our two blogs, writing an SEO-friendly post for each every week. • After identifying a reach of only 2% across Facebook channels, I worked with a media agency to improve organic reach. Reach shot up to an average of 9% and I’ve published posts which achieved up to 50% reach. • Developed a new strategy for Twitter after numbers showed an erratic tweeting pattern in the past. Engagement increased from below 1% to around 4%, with influence never falling below 90% for two out of three brands. • When the decision was made to move the Vernons Casino product to a different platform, I took on much of the product decisions defining our games offering and worked closely with the design, CRM and web team to get the project back on track after a slow start. Due to my initiative, I was involved in many more aspects of product delivery than just providing content to populate the website and I loved providing a workable structure for this project.
