About me
I am a Designer - living and working in London. I am currently part of a small design team at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. My job role is incredibly varied working on large visuals for our bookfairs, designing online content for external companies and our overseas branches in New York and Sydney. Additionally I am responsible for designing covers, laying out text and illustrations as well as liaising with everyone from authors, illustrators, editorial and production on a daily basis.
Projects
- Socafest VRSocafest VR Socafest is a Caribbean inspired dance experience made in virtual reality using Unity, a HTC Vive headset and an Olorama Scent Machine. It is a game that makes use of data provided by Gatwick Airport to produce real time weather effects, fireworks and smoke. It also features carnival dancers who are rigged with an armature and make uses of motion capture footage that has been edited to create dance routines. - Bloomsbury Book PacksThis project contains book packs that I have designed for Baker & Taylor and The Book People on behalf of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. This project features a selection of work I have solely produced whilst working for Bloomsbury. In addition to creating the design, concept and composition for this work I have often been responsible for providing the accompanying copy too.
- GIF's for the GuardianI produced a series of gifs for use in the Children's' section of the Guardian website. This project features a selection of work I have solely produced whilst working for Bloomsbury. In addition to creating the design, concept and composition for this work I have often been responsible for providing the accompanying copy too.
- Bloomsbury Bookfair VisualsI designed these large scale visuals for the Frankfurt 2013 Bookfair using the artwork from ' Two Turtle Doves' by the renowned jeweller Alex Monroe. This project features a selection of work I have solely produced whilst working for Bloomsbury. In addition to creating the design, concept and composition for this work I have often been responsible for providing the accompanying copy too.
