Elle Smith is a London based photographer, whose work is influenced by the concepts of 'Retro' and 'Vintage' and their influence on modern media, fashion advertising, and art. She enjoys creating sets, styling, and being the MUA for her work.
In 2020 she graduated from Norwich University of the Arts with a Bachelors's degree in photography and graduated with a first in her Master's in Fashion Photography at the University of Creative Arts in 2021.

- Life On Mars?Life On Mars? is a editorial series taking its inspiration from the 1971 David Bowie music video 'Life On Mars?' directed by photographer Mick Rock. The editorial is my visual approach to the iconic music video, with the styling and set recreated as closely to the original as possible, taking additional inspiration from imagery of Bowie shot with Rock and Lord Snowdon along with editorial fashion imagery.
- Are You Experienced?Are You Experienced? is a series based on the style of Jimi Hendrix. The series aims to capture the experience most people have of Hendrix and the persona put on during concerts and public appearances compared to the experience many of his close friends have of the musician. The styling of the shoot looks towards Hendrix's love for velvet suits and Victorian and Edwardian shirts that filled thrift stores of 1960s London. - Party in the ParkThis look book was created as part of my final major project for my degree. I chose the brand Rotate Birger Christensen and created a hypothetical SS20 look book for them. Rotate is a Copenhagen-based party wear brand for women who like to be bold and have fun with their style. Keeping this in mind, I sourced clothing from a variety of places to put together 5 looks that embodied Rotate's DNA. I also designed and made the look book using InDesign.
