About me

I specialised in knitted textiles at University, I focussed on leather as my main fabric incorporating elements of knit and macrame as details. Through experimentation, I created a technique of heat pressing fine knit onto leather and suede, which hadn’t been seen before. Since graduation, I have slowly developed my own brand. This involved creating the pieces myself, styling and photographing them, editing the images and uploading the products on to my website. In 2014 I collaborated with a German Company and created a range of leather necklaces for them to sell exclusively on their website. I then moved on to creating leather cardholders and keyrings, but I’m now focussing on designing and making a range of leather bags. I really enjoy the design process as well as the problem solving, and see finding exactly the right components for my pieces as key to the aesthetic of the finished product. I have been gradually gaining knowledge about different leathers from talking to suppliers. During my time working at AllSaints I was given the responsibility for the bags in store which involved learning about the leathers used, training other stylists and maintaining standards. Whilst working there, I was given the amazing opportunity to work as an intern on the accessories design team within their head office. The team was small so I assisted in numerous tasks and really enjoyed getting involved in all the different processes and stages. After growing up surrounded by creative people, I have always been interested in how things look, and have a keen eye for detail. I am also a fast learner, I have great communication skills, an approachable personality and can keep good time management. Additionally I am an effective problem solver and able to use initiative, but I can also follow instructions well! Coming from a creative background, I have a great appreciation for fashion and textiles.
