I am a first class Graphic Design graduate who specialises in branding, looking for internships or a full-time design position. I’ve experienced working in a team in previous job roles and whilst participating in group projects at university. I enjoy experimenting with ideas through the creative process whilst adapting and learning from others in the fast paced environment of the design world.

- The Little Things - JD WilliamsA three week placement at JD Williams, Manchester - June 2015. As the JD design department heavily focuses on designing the catalogues for their many different brands; Julipa, Jacamo, Simply Be, Fashion World to name a few, it seemed fitting to create an editorial piece. As the general target market for these brands is aged 30 years or over, I decided to make a 16 page insert aimed at a younger female audience (late teens to young adults), that could be used in one of their catalogues.
- Abstract - D&AD New BloodAbstract is a unisex beauty brand that is inclusive to all genders, our hair colourants promote individuality and allow our audience to make their mark. Abstraction doesn’t attempt to represent external reality so why confine what’s inside when you can celebrate on the outside. My three products consist of a semi-permanent hair dye, a non-permanent hair chalk and colour illuminating hair spray, which give you the freedom to change your hair with little hastle.

During my three weeks at Oslo, I assisted with redesigning the company website as well as creating moving image mockups to be featured for each uploaded project. I gained valuable experience in designing for web and have also learnt how to create gifs; this new skill not only enhances my design work but also gives me a new creative medium to develop.

During my time here, I worked with Principles on a range of different brands including Butterkist, Ronseal, Arla and my work has been used across several projects including a Belgian beer brand, Leeds Grammar School and Metro. I have gained valuable experience working over a long period of time, seeing projects through from start to finish and making them become a reality. I have also successfully spoken to clients about my work. I enjoyed the creative environment and also participated in the agencies ‘Soup Kitchen’ in which we made soup and cakes to raise money for Children In Need.
