Projects
- Campaign EventBrief: To revitalise WKD and showcase the brand in a new light. Concept: The concept revolves around the hosting of a mixology and cocktail pairing night for the alcopop brand WKD, with colour exposure techniques and jagged typography reflecting a “wild side” to the brand, never seen before. The campaign encourages attendees to reveal their “wild side” and be a part of the "go wild" movement. *student brief
- Rum BarBrief: To develop on-trade deliverables for the widely recognised Cuban rum bar and restaurant. Concept: The concept was influenced by the 1980's Memphis style of design, with pastel colours that have been treated to reflect the vibrant yet tired architecture in Havana. The typography has been carefully chosen to reminisce vintage Cuban posters, pairing bold serif fonts with script to create contrast.
- Code_UBrief: Code_U is an online coding course. Being based online, the objective of the brief was to connect with people pursuing a career in coding, face to face. Concept: The concept was a networking event with a series of talks by graduates and industry professionals. The visual language was based on Code_U’s flourishing community, with graphical elements that suggest a sense of growth and multiply. *student brief
- EditorialBrief: To design a featured article and front cover for an exclusive Timeout Magazine on Unconventional Travel Destinations. Concept: The design concept was inspired by “Big Brother”, a fictional character in a novel by George Orwell, mirroring the article content and the disclosure of information by the US government. This was represented in the design by the masking and defacing of content with image treatment that represented workers being silenced. *student brief
- Town IdentityBrief: To create an identity for Malmesbury Town. Concept: This quaint town in the Cotswolds has experienced a series of peculiar events that shape its past. These obscurities are represented through perplex shapes (snippets of information) that come together in an awkward fashion, suggesting that a piece of the puzzle (story) is missing. *student brief
- HandmadeBrief: To develop vinyl artwork for the Australian band Tame Impala and their award winning album “Currents”. Concept: Using an acrylic pouring technique known as a “dirty pour”, the work depicts the psychedelic nature of the album, using the colours prominent along the coast of Australia where the band originate and were influenced growing up. *student brief
