About me
Hi, I'm Ellis! I'm a Multidisciplinary Graphic Designer from Cheshire. I primarily work on Branding and UI/UX led projects, although I also enjoy working with motion and try to incorporate this wherever I can. My creative journey originally started in fine art where I explored mental health issues through portraiture. As a designer, I still find myself drawn to projects informed by similar issues and try to use design as a way to help inform and educate people, creating positive social change. I have worked on projects focusing on issues such as grief, the climate crisis and mental health, with my project Forecast being shortlisted for the 2021 creative conscience awards.

  • Detroits Decline
    Detroits DeclineDetroits Decline is the result of a Data Mapping project where I analysed the different sounds in J Dilla's Workin' On It. The imagery used is a combination of found and primary footage that was inspired by J Dilla's hometown of Detroit, with the thriving and derelict versions of the city representing the change in tone of the track.
  • Storytime
    StorytimeThe Storytime project explores how a museum might live and exist within the metaverse and was a response to a brief set by Public Studio. The key focus was the grid pattern, where each tile represents a different greek myth. The museum would exist in the metaverse and allow users to assist Heroes from famous myths in their quests and unlock assets for their metaverse avatar.
  • Wild Woods
    Wild Woods'Wild Woods' is a project in collaboration with Hallmark and RNIB. For this project I explored how the outdoors could be made more accessible to everyone, especially those who suffer from sight loss. I created imagery that would appear on signage, around the woodland environment and in the accompanying app. The combination of the app and signage would guide visitors around the trails and alert them to any hazards they might encounter.
