Working closely with the Lead Designer and assisting the rest of the team on various projects, I was always flexible to work all-round to deliver on time for client meetings & design pitch presentations. Primary tasks included formatting existing client space plans to the company’s template, following up with initial space planning solutions and arrangements via AutoCAD. Planning and preparation for mood board concepts and design inspirations, using tools such as Pinterest and Office Snapshots. Other useful skills such as Photoshop, aided design finishes, materials and textures for mood boarding and space planning ‘zoning’. Other important tasks included creating presentation documents via Indesign and Illustrator, to finalise, send for high quality print ready to present to our clients. Connecting with suppliers and ordering samples. Providing CAD files and proposed layouts for subcontractors. On a few occassions, I would be assisting the Project Director and Construction manager for on-site face-to-face clientele meetings.
Leading the design process carrying out site surveying, 2D spatial plans, 3D rendering, creating mood boards, executing take offs alongside the Project manager, contacting suppliers, building contractors and manufacturers respectively for client quote. Single handedly contributing my graphic design skills towards re-designing the company’s design templates; A3 design presentation document and A4 capability documents. This also included re-designing new business cards, creating the company’s monthly drinks event leaflets and managing the company’s 5 main social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and LinkedIn. Other roles included visiting showrooms and attending design events and building the company’s Internal Image library (digitised) and material library.

Sourcing furniture and creating mood boards and interior design proposals. Managing and sorting the team’s 3D library. Also assisting Head Director in creating JLL’s property leasing leaflet.
Developing connections with customers and providing essential customer service. Intuitive Social Media networking, advertising and creating the image for the new London store, mainly through daily promoting via our Instagram and West Elm London Facebook page. Collaborating with independent designers, artisans and a network of craft communities, via in-store RSVP events. Connecting and opening trade accounts with Interior designers/Architects. Assisting sales by working with floor plans and measurements of showroom furniture and products. Positive attitude towards making a difference to the environment, i.e. essential communication with customers about products and furniture, especially reclaimed/recycled/handmade/luxury pieces. Training and setting examples for new recruits making them feel comfortable in a face paced and hands on environment.
