the technical title is unemployed but i prefer the term graduate. Looking to find a role within the digital atmosphere or within TV.
I completed an internship with Sheffield Doc/Fest where I was tasked with corresponding to email and telephone inquiries. Helping delegates, submit films, register and attend the festival. I was also a part of the communications between the XO Lab, the events and the marketing teams in reaching organisations to appeal for their support and assistant in the festivals productions. However my main role was working with the XO Labs maintaining their social media and marketing events they were running throughout the build up to the festival.
I was employed by Sheffield Hallam University to created numerous videos. I made promotional films to get more people involved in their events, as well as interviews with special guests and occasionally i would film important lectures so students didn't miss out.
I've recently completed a masters achieving a 1:1 grade. my masters project was Lost Belief an interactive documentary based on revitalizing the Pagan religion. Using the new Adobe web development packages muse and edge animate I created an engaging and informative film. I loved the course as it offered me the chance to experiement with a wide variety of different digital techniques, from flash, to binaural to processing.js
I won the Wolverhampton heat of channel 4's 4Talent day for creating the best digital marketing campaign for the Rio Paralympics. I don't know if I've won the event yet but making it to the finals beating hundreds of fellow digital creatives i feel is still an achievement.
I didn't win but was still proud to be nominated for student of year for going above and beyond on behalf of the university.
