Projects
  • Untitled
UntitledA project that coincided with the photographic print ''The Sword, the Treasure, the Wand and the Pirate', was my untitled sculptural work. • Stranger Photos
Stranger PhotosThis project began in the streets of London, with my digital camera, photographing strangers. My intention was to capture people in the moment, in thought, inside their heads. I could imagine beauty and perhaps even a spiritual ethereal side to the project. My initial photographs were bland, and everyday, far from my vision. So I set out to manipulate them through different processes. These photographs and their five different processes were documented in an archival folder. I was interested in preservation, preserving a fleeting moment, and the aesthetic beauty that I could create by strategically following my own set of conditions. The first set of photographs, Process 1, looked photoshopped although they weren't as this felt unnatural. In fact, using a disposable camera I photographed the printed images inside of plastic clear folder wallets. The effects were orbs of light darting into the images.
  • The Sword, the Treasure, the Wand and the Pirate
The Sword, the Treasure, the Wand and the PirateOne of two final projects for my Fine Art Degree. The photograph and wands were exhibited at the Hoxton Arches. My idea behind this work was to create a fictional narrative through household materials. Screws and wire become creative devices.
