     - Liverpool, United KingdomInternship
As part of my MA course, I interned with Kaleidoscope’s creative team. I was able to work with local clients on a variety of different projects, including researching and developing a campaign for Mersey Rail and a rebrand of Ellesmere College. I also co-authored the report which accompanied the designs for both these projects and presented our findings and initial designs to the clients.

     - Leeds, United KingdomInternship
Each year, Elmwood set a copywriting brief to offer students an internship at their agency. I presented my entry to their creative directors and was invited back for a placement within their creative team. It was a great experience in which I was able to shadow and work alongside Creative Strategists, Designers, Copy-Writers and Creative Directors. I gained an insight into how an agency operates day to day and worked on live projects for a variety of clients, both big and small. Elmwood made me feel very much part of their team, providing me with new skills and the confidence to apply my existing skills within an industry setting. It was an invaluable opportunity that I hope will set me in good stead for my future career.

Brief (set by SEMTA): to demonstrate a way of increasing the efficiency of industrial processes through the use of robotics with the wider goal of increasing the rate of automation in the UK. My group’s entry, entitled "A Cooperative Initiative to Sustainably Transform the UK Robotics Sector", aimed to provide a sustainable route to a globally dominant robotics sector in the UK. We were selected as a top five entrant and my partner presented the idea to some of SEMTA’s executives at the IMechE in London. Although I do not come from a STEM background, I found that my ability to think creatively, as well as my background in social studies, allowed me to approach the brief from a unique perspective and produce a solution that was both ambitiously industry focused but remained socially aware.
