I am a recent Art History graduate with a keen interest in digital photography and contemporary art. Throughout my degree I gained experience from a range of different industries. I frequently volunteered locally for the Brighton Arts Festival (HOUSE) and at Lighthouse Digital gallery. I also worked on a temporary basis for Lipsync Post in London. Since graduating last summer I have continued working for Lipsync and also started at Jigsaw24 as part of their events team for the creative companies in Soho.
Jigsaw24 provides creative IT solutions to a multitude of different companies. In my role I am part of a small team who manage the frequent events held by the company for their clients. My role covers everything from ensuring the event itself runs smoothly, to a range administrative tasks before and after the event. The role has developed my understanding of the creative industry, as the attendees marketed before and after the event are vast and varied.
Welcoming gallery visitors and providing them with information about the exhibition. Ensuring the exhibition ran smoothly and that the public got as much out of it as possible
I was responsible for the organisation of groups of 30 children (aged between 6-14). I was required to prepare arts and crafts sessions to entertain the children and develop this skills throughout the summer camp.
Assisting the opening night of the HOUSE 2014 festival in Brighton museum. Making sure everything ran smoothly and efficiently throughout the evening, as different events were happening at different times, and special guests (including Yinka Shonibare) were present.
